A delicately curving vine forms a halo around the yakshi's body. It also provides a function to her limbs. Her two hands told it on either sides and her right foot moves from behind to gently touch it. Yakshi's generally exhibit nudity, the bosom always bare with shapely breasts bursting forth. She wears a lower garment, the inner edge of which is folded in a fan shape and suspended in front. The exquisitely carved girdle called the mekhla brings out the slimness of her waist and the roundness of the shapely pelvic region; multiple strings of necklaces adorn her slender neck and more ornaments that her natural beauty hardly requires. Her hair is combed back and held there with the help of head ornaments. The long tresses are coiled up in a bun on the right side of the neck.
